The word is out that Apple is going to introduce a new mini version of the dock connector for the iPad 3 coming out in March. (The iPad 3 will be lighter and thinner, with the same size screen)The new dock connector will have the same number of pins, and same format, just smaller. Considering how many people have various devices that are made with the old dock connector, would this affect your buying decision? Or will you consider this as part of the cost of doing business in technology? I suspect that there will be a quick market for adapters and adaptor cords that will die down after a couple of years. I also wonder if the reason for this is that the iPhone 5 will need the smaller form factor.
