I just got a iPad too But i've always had a iphone also. Besides emails and searches, your ipad is great at making everyone more productive, from apps helping to you make a budget or remember your bills, to making a To Do List, i use my apple products to do Everything. I hope you enjoy using it and my suggestion for ideas is to Youtube search "Best iPad apps" to get you started with some ideas ... Have fun.
