Hi,
I'm a UK Mac man (since purchasing my first home computer in 1990) and am now thinking of joining the great iPad fraternity too. A couple of pointers would be welcome, so here's my thoughts - all feedback good.
I reckon I'll be a light iPad user - surfing the 'net, email, photos, that sort of thing, so whilst I appreciate that 2 is lighter (and comes with a speedier processor) than 1 I don't reckon the camera/speed thing would be overly impactful on my user experience. Equally I would be getting a wifi only model as I have a negligible need to be connected beyond that. Equally those extra ounces saved by buying a 2 count for little as it is likeley to be mostly lying around the house rather than being carted about a lot. So, my current thinking is that a good secondhand 1 would be fine, keeping the £££s saved against, for example, a brand new iPad, for other things - but I am more than happy to take the views of the experts who have been around these great bits of kit for some time.
cheers,
Stockers
