I joined to see that my iPad experience works for the best advantage. My daughter sent me a new iPad 2 direct from Apple. I wasn't even sure the best way or how to use it. I have set up the native mail app but don't see photos or know how to open attachments, which was the main reason for joining. While researching that issue I found the forum and hope to learn much here.

Since posting I discovered how easily my question was resolved, just select the paper clip and then each photo, which do load albeit one at a time. I really love this keyboard compared to my iPhone.

You can download the manual for your iPad here http://support.apple.com/manuals/ and in iBooks search for "iPad user guide for" and you will find free comprehensive manuals for both iOS 4 and 5.

As for attachments to emails, they don't always download but if they haven't then there should be a squarish box with a dotted border, touch this to get the full download. To open attachments, just touch them, if nothing happens then just touch and hold the attachment and hopefully an option will appear to save, open, etc.
