New ipad video etiting not working

Is it just me or does the new iPad not support video editing like on my iPhone 4? I tap the screen just like I do on my iPhone but the option does not come up.

Here's what you are looking for. Touch the double bars on either end of your video and the "Trim" option will appear. Drag them to where you want to trim.

Yep, I know how it's supposed to work but what I'm saying is that that option is not even available. I tap the screen and the yellow tabs don't show. No edit button or anything. I have the new iPad wifi only model with iOS 5.1.1.
It's kinda strange that it's not working.
