Hi, my name is Kathy and I am a new member. I am retired and enjoying life to the full. I love using my iPad but still get stuck with the technology sometimes.
I do have a question to ask. Does anyone know how I can increase storage to enable further app downloads. My usage is at present is up to 13.7gb and I cannot update my iOS as there is not enough space.

I'm afraid that there's no way to increase the storage capacity of your iPad. If there is not enough free storage capacity to upgrade your iOS, you'll have to delete enough items to free up the necessary storage space.

Hi there Kathy and welcome.

Scifan's post is absolutely correct however, there are some workarounds, certain types of data can be stored externally, such as movies, photos, etc. As these types of file can take up a lot of space there may be some mileage in looking at the options, such as NAS drives, AirStash, iUSBport (formally CloudFTP), etc and you can find out about all these and more in the iPad-connect section of the forums here http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-connect/

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend.
