Hi,

I found this forum when I looked for solutions to iBook 2.1.1 update problems. I hve the original iPad, minimum gigs (20, I believe). It's been great for travelling ovesees. About a month agao, I got a prompt to update to iBook 2.1.1 It has been stuck in "installing" every since and the icon is grayed out. Connecting it to the main computer and syncing it has not helped.
Any idea?

Thanks,
Ingrid

Hi there- can you tell us what operating system your iPad is currently running at this time? To do this go to settings/general/about--see what the version is.

The reason I ask is that the most current update is is 5.1. The iBook update may be requiring that in order to install.

If you are on 5.1, than try to restart your iPad and see if that helps. Check these 2 things and let us know if it helps.

Plug into iTunes. Go to the APP tab for your iPad. Deselect iBooks from the list of installed apps. Hit SYNC.

The icon should disappear from your iPad.

Now select the iBooks in iTunes. Hit SYNC again, and it should install on your iPad.

Let us know if this works, please.
