New to iPad but not to Apple

Hi. I just bought myself an iPad for Xmas. It's the full-size one, a 4th-generation model with 32GB and WiFi only.
I have been using Mac computers as my personal machines since 1996. Currently I have a seldom-used eMac and an aging but still dependable MacBook Pro.
A few years back, I got introduced to iOS thanks to an iPod Touch. And just over a year ago, I got an iPhone 4S.
The Retina Display screen is gorgeous! And I'm loving the speed when browsing web pages. The iPad easily outpaces my MBP at that task.
I'm looking forward to learning everything about this great new iDevice... whenever I can get it out of my wife's hands.
