Hello,
I'm a long time PC user (early DOS thru Windows 7) desktops & laptops. Decided sometime back to get a Tablet, and after considerable research, decided on an iPad rather than an Android. By the time I decided on an iPad, the 3rd Gen had been announced & thus decided to wait a few days to order the newer version (64GB w/4G). I'm glad I did. I'm an optical physicist and am very impressed with the new five element lens in the iPad 3 (in case anyone is interested, there's an excellent article on smart phone optics in a recent version of the Optical Society of America pub "OPN").
Anyway, I love this device. I use it both as an aide/tool in the lab and at home, and even though I'm probably a geezer compared to most of the iPad user community, I also love the gaming capability (my wife thinks I'm nuts to play "video and computer games").
The iPad forum has been helpful, but I do find it a little difficult to find answers to my poorly constructed queries. Looking forward to using my "device" ven more and learning how to navigate thru the intricacies of the iPad Forum.
Not using this long-winded,
