New to the Apple world.

Greetings from N.W. Ohio! I am new to the Apple world after using P.C. products for the last 18 years. I am a professional photographer and almost went with Apple when I started computing for their superior photo applications but at the time Apple was almost bankrupt (imagine!) so I went with P.C. to avoid having an obsolete system. Just purchased an Ipad and it is a lot different. Still deciding if it is better yet, but I am here to learn how to use it properly. My biggest problem so far is downloading my music, photos, and video into the i pad. My wife and I am planning a trip to Germany in July, so I am trying to sort it out before we leave. I am looking into offline translators and maps as I have a wi-fi i pad. Looking forward to the forum and learning. Not sure that I have much to share at this point.
