Hi All

I am new to IPad and new to this forum. Help, Help, Help!!!
Can anyone tell me if there is an app out there that will let me use internet Explorer on my IPad.
I manage our village hall and we have just updated our Air con & I can now view & adjust the control's remotely,
but only with explorer. Dell sell an android (XPS10) which will do this but I don't want to buy another pad.

Regards

Hi Bazzerfs - welcome to the forum! :)

As far as I know, there is no Internet Explorer app for the iPad; now, in addition to Safari, there are numerous other 'web browsers' available in the App Store - just search on those terms (in quotes) at the store; for myself, I'm also using Atomic Web & Maxthon - now you may want to tell us what is present in Internet Explorer that permits you to use the AC control remotely? If a plugin is used, then it might be supported in one of iPad's browsing options - not sure? Good luck - Dave

Hi there and welcome.

The advice above is excellent. A little searching on the App Store will help here as some browsers can mimic IE which presumably is all you need.

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend. If you can't find the answer you need and you post a question then give as much info as you can to help members help you i.e. iPad 1 or 2, etc. and iOS version and name of app if the problem is with a specific app........and please don't forget to read the forum rules http://www.ipadforums.net/forum-rules-help-info/2119-forum-rules-everybody-please-read.html

These are the hacking section rules for all you jail breakers (and would be jail breakers) http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-hacking/2892-hacking-section-rules-please-read.html

We also have an app for this forum. The link to download the app is: Discussion Forum for iPad Users for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store and a great tutorial/guide for using the IPF App here http://www.ipadforums.net/new-membe...sistance/107524-ipad-forums-app-tutorial.html

You can download the manual for your iPad here http://help.apple.com/ipad/6/ and here http://support.apple.com/manuals/ and in iBooks search for "iPad user guide for" and you will find free comprehensive manuals for iOS 4, 5, 6, etc.

If you have other Apple products or are interested in other Apple kit then why not join our sister forum too at http://www.appleforums.net/ and for iPhone users, come and join in the discussion over at http://www.iphoneforums.net

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

There are other Browsers that can mimic Internet Explorer as said above although I don't know how well this is done or if it will suit your needs but Atomic Web Browser has this ability.
