Newb in the house!

Hello to everyone. As a longtime owner of iPhones and iPods I am getting ready to purchase my first iPad and I have just two quick questions. 1st, what is the big advantage of "Retina Display" over the iPad 2? And 2nd, what exactly does "refurbished" mean? Thanks in advance.

Hi there and welcome.

The retina iPad has a better screen and better (faster) hardware. Refurbs are great value iPads, they are exactly what they say, refurbished. I have purchased a number of refurbished Apple items including iPads and the only way to tell the difference between the refurbs and new iPads is by the box that they are packaged in.

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend.
