First of all, welcome to the forum!
As far as printing, it almost seems like it was an afterthought with the iPad... until now. There is a new iOS (Operating System software) that will be coming out in November that is supposed to make printing easier. Hang on for another 2 months or so and we will see what Apple's solution to printing is!
