Hi all,

Just purchased ipad 2 yesterday and know absolutely zero about it! Downloaded new version of Itunes on pc which took 3 hours and told me that it had downloaded successfully but after restarting computer had this message in window from Applesyncnotifier that it couldn´t find a component Corefoundation.dll. What is this? Should I reinstall itunes? Thanks

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

Please read the rules too!!

Thanks so much for your advice! And I did download the manual this morning via a link from one of your other posts which was great. Because I´m in Spain the initial advice, manuals etc., given is all in Spanish which is a nightmare to wade through - I barely understand it in my mother tongue! Anyhow, will reinstall itunes and once that is fixed, set up the ipad (famous last words) :D:D

After spending another 3 or 4 hours reinstalling itunes to no avail and faffing around checking .dll forums etc., stumbled upon a site which told me to uninstall MobileMe which I did. No longer get error messages. So will attempt to set up ipad tomorrow after reading the manual tonite :D

Simple steps to fix Corefoundation.dll error

You can download the missing Corefoundation.dll file from the link provided below:

http://dllcentral.com/CoreFoundation.dll/1.434.6/download/

After downloading the missing Corefoundation.dll file, restore this file into System32 folder.
Path to System32 folder is:

C:/ Windows / System32
Note: C: Drive is your Window Drive.

You may need to restart your PC in order to make the changes effective. This is the source, which is best for solving this sort of dll related issues.

Good Luck. :)

For corefoundation.dll error

Steps 1 – You can begin by uninstalling the Apple application that is causing the problem. If your iTunes application is giving you the corefoundation.dll error, you should remove it from your system. After the removal, you need to restart your computer. Now, download the latest version of the Apple application and run it on your computer. Make sure that the installation is done through the recommended option and not the custom option.
Step 2 – If the application now runs without the error, you should be fine. However, if you still see that this is missing, keep reading. You can retrieve the this file from the internet in order to replace the one you have now. You can corefoundation.dll download .Now Go to My Computer and in the address bar, enter C:\Windows\system32 and place the corefoundation.dll file in it. There will be a file with the same name in the folder, so you need to overwrite it.
Step 3 - Now, you need to go to the Start menu and select Run and input the command “cmdâ€. The new command prompt will appear and here you enter “regsvr32 corefoundation.dllâ€. Once this is done, it will configure your system accordingly. Reboot your machine and the this error will be gone.
