Newbie today - query re. IPad2

Hello - I recently decided to delete all e-mails which had built up on my iPad since purchase 12 months ago following advice of a relative. Well I thought they were going down a little slowly and was then told by a young person (of course!) that e-mails from desk top computers I had in the past were also on the iPad so I had to delete over 6 years of e-mails, which took several days, off and on. I now find some of my e-mails are going to JUNK, including my Kindle Daily Deal and Kindle Users Forum e-mails. Does anyone know why this has happened and how I can remedy it please? It's probably something completely obvious but as a VOP (very old person) I do struggle a little (o.k., a lot) with technology, but like to learn how to do things for myself. Kind regards. Valerie.
