Newbie with Couple questions

Hi
I have had my Ipad since June and am using it more and more every day. I use it for some of my work and personal. LOVE IT!!!!!

I am going to be doing a fair amount of travelling this winter (driving in vehicle) and am considering audiobooks. However, I have NO idea what app I should be getting and where to buy the audiobooks. When looking at amazon I only see cd audiobooks and they cost a lot.

Can someone help out this newbie??? Suggestions, recommendations?
