What's new

Nice to have on the next generation Ipad.

Since I'm only wishing I might as well post my wish list for next years iPad. I would like to see a eye ring or lanyard ring put on the frame.(Just like the small cameras). This would be a big help if the ipad decides to slip out of your hand and hit the deck with a crunch, like some of you have done already. For me being a old senior it would do a super job of staying with me after I fall asleep on the plane after a couple of those wee bottles they serve up,I have dropped off to sleep and my book or glasses are on the floor, and some times under your feet. It would be nice to wake up to find your trusty companion is still on your chest where you left it.:D

Actually if you had the Apple iPad case you could easily punch a hole through the cover and attach a wrist strap for those embarassing moments. It wouldn't take violent usage but it's tough enough to cope when it matters.

Can't comment on other cases as it's the only one I have.

To improve on what you you said, one could take the Apple cover to a leather shop and have them punch the hole and install a brass or metal grommet and then attach the ring. Trouble is that its hard to find a leather shop, but there is always a tent repair shop or a automobile upholsterer. Thanks for the idea.

Funny I have a camera on my main machine and never use it. Not certain that a camera would be on my wish list. Would rather see a faster processor and more RAM so it could run more sophisticated programs.

I can see using a camera with Skype for calls to the family while on the road, but I'd rather have a corded camera accessory than have one built in to the body of the iPad that would always be pointed up my nostrils.

Remember video chatting will lead to arm strain if it's not propped up. You will need to hold it away from your face as no one wants to see just the carbuncles on your nose.....

They actually sell grommets and grommet tools at most fabric stores and they are pretty inexpensive. Just a thought.:)
