no sounds?

just updated the firmware, and now all my day to day sounds have gone. no keyboard tapping, no email alerts etc etc, yet the settings say all sounds are on. i've done a reboot too and no joy.

my media sounds play normally though.

any idea?

Your iPad is muted.

Either change the position of the side-switch, or enter the Multitaskbar, scroll left and tap the speaker to turn system sounds back on.

Remember that in 4.3.1 or later the mute switch is now assignable to either mute or orientation lock. So you may have mute set in the multi-task bar or switch. You can change the function in 'Settings'
