not able to delete imported pictures

Hey folks,
during my vacation I stored about 900 pictures from my camera to my ipad using the camera conection kit. The Problem now, is, that I can't delete them. Therefore that apple missed to enable on device deleting, I have to go through itunes. The thing is, i checked sync pictures, but nothing happens. even if I uncheck it.

can you help me please

I just ried to delete an imported photo and I actually do not have a problem with that...
Did you try (though it might be quite a job to do so...) to delete photo by photo?
Unfortunately not possible to "empty" the import folder...
