Hello - let me illustrate one way - not sure 'where' your Word document is located on your iPad. But, if in Pages, simply open the app and select the document to send (first image below - I've chosen 'Geology 101'), then tap the 'Share' icon (w/ the outgoing arrow) and select 'Send a Copy' (blue arrow). Then select a format (second image, such as 'Word'); a new dialog box appears 'Choose How to Send' - if AirDrop is available between the devices, an easy & quick transfer; otherwise, select 'Mail' (third image); finally, Mail will open (last image) w/ your attached document ready to send (blue arrow) after filling in the To: information and additional subject & text - Dave
