Office2 HD crashing issue

I have 31 high school students attempting to use office2 hd for their school work. When students go to save their documents, it freezes and all the data is lost. I want to use office2 hd because of the ease of moving documents to dropbox so students can work on their documents on multiple machines. Does anyone have any ideas about why we are having crashing issues? Some students have upgrades to iOS 6 and some have iOS 5 and it doesn't seem to matter.
