Pairing jambox with ipad

You will have to go to Settings to get it to pair the first time (or to fix the pairing).

First, go to Settings and turn on your Bluetooth (under the General tab). Stay in that section.

Then, turn your Jambox on. Make sure you push the switch all the way up. You should have a [n obnoxiously loud] voice come on the Jambox saying "Jambox is in pairing mode."

Now, you should see the words "JAMBOX by Jawbone" show up in your devices list, along with the phrase "Not Paired." Press that line. You should get a spinning wheel for a bit, then your Jambox should say it's paired.

If you've paired it before, press the Jambox line and then choose to "forget this device" - then do the above.

I did this as I was typing, and it worked for me. If this doesn't work for you, please let us know and we'll try something else.

Good luck.

I have no difficulty manually pairing the jambox with my iPad however it seems crazy to need to do this every time use it. Has anyone been able to have it automatically pair?

I cannot get my iPad to see my Jawbone Jambox. It sees my Belkin Bluetooth Keyboard fine but the Devices icon circles but never finds my Jawbone. The Jawbone says "Jambox is ready, waiting for device to connect" but nothing happens. I have turned the Bluetooth off and back on, the Jawbone off and back on, powered the iPad off and back on, but nothing appears in the Devices list except the Connected keyboard. I even tried "Forgetting" the keyboard but that didn't help. It just says Searching... but never finds the Jawbone.

Hi, welcome to iPF!

Try to connect the Jawbone to another device. If this doesn't work, then the Jawbone is defective. If it works, the connection to the iPad causes the issue. Then this may help: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4562

I tried holding the Jawbone power button in up position (the slight up extension that bounces back) for a few seconds and it went into pairing mode but shows Not Paired on the Devices list. It is now discovered but doesn't want to pair. Finally, when I reestablished the keyboard and connected it allowed me to connect the Jawbone. It appears you have to hold the button up for few seconds to get it to be initially recognized. However it would not connect until I reconnected the keyboard, then it connected right away, but would not connect by itself. Weird.

Thanks for the tip. I Finally pushed the “on” button to the top and held it. Pairing was achieved in a few seconds!
