Password Apps For the Ipad

I am new to the Ipad and would value others advice. I do not want to go through the hassle of unlocking my Ipad everytime I want to use it but at the same time I would like to input some data (credit card info, other passwords for home and computers ect.) into the Ipad that I wish to keep safe. Is there an app that I can buy that will allow me to accomplish this? An app that allows requires a password to enter a "special note section" section would be perfect. Thank you.

DropBox has just that. a protected directory/
Sure there are lots of dedicated programs that would do just that.
