Since you have an iPad Air 2, may I suggest you look at the tweak "iTouchSecure for iOS 8" ($4.99, USD).
Yeah, it's a bit pricey, but it allows you to use the TouchID in places you couldn't before, such as the first time you use the AppStore or 1Password. Here's a screen shot of the tweak on Cydia:
As you can see, it does a lot. I use it on my iPhone 6 Plus and have been for a while. Works a treat! When I go to the AppStore and it's for the first time after reset/restart, I can use the tweak by holding my finger on the Home button and it'll fill in the AppStore password for me. Very convenient.
No, it doesn't negate the need to always use the password like Password Pilot, but as f4780y pointed out, it's easy to use the TouchID feature of the phone/iPad. 'Sides, I like the security better (always need TouchID).
I can't use it on my original Air (no TouchID), but it's supposed to work on iPads with TouchID. In fact, I'm going to have to play because I see at the very bottom - "Password autofill also works on devices without TouchID." Hmmmm.
Anyway. Just thought I'd share an alternative that works for me...
