Thanks for the reply.
Actually it is not a special type of PDF file. It is one of my own.
I tried something someone else suggested
I sent myself two emails with the same PDF file attached
I sent one in "plain text" format. That one came through on my iPad with the PDF already opened in the body of the email. It was no longer an attachment.
I sent one in "HTML" format and that one came to my iPad as an attachment , but the name was changed to "win mail.dat" ,there was no PDF icon, and only empty box. When I tried to open it , it won't open.
By the way, both emails came to my PC using MS Outlook with no problem......as regular PDF attachments which open normally. Since I can't dictate what format people send me, what can I do to be able to open all PDFs no matter what format?
Anyone else having this problem?
Thanks
Ken

Sounds like it isn't the right type of PDF, a.k.a. It is a special type. Like it has certain password protection or it was made with a weird program.
Let's ask f4780y.
(second time today I needed his help )
I have the same problem on my wife iPad and iPhone.
When i send her PDF file she got win mail.dat.
But if I send the PDF to my iPhone or iPad I get it as PDF.
