Photo issues

Welcome to the forum! 
Might need to be more specific about 'photos loaded from my camera'? Are you first loading them onto your computer and then syncing w/ the iPad and/or using the 'Camera Connection Kit' to directly put your camera images onto the iPad?
Also, I'm assuming that you are using the native Photos app of the iPad - correct? Well, if so, this is a limited program and sorting and labeling your images is just not a viable option; of course, you can put your images on the HD of your computer into folders/subfolders and then sync w/ the iPad; or other programs can be put on the iPad that offer better image manipulation & organization - a few that I have are Photo-Sort, Photogene, & My Photos - these can be reviewed in the Apple App store, and of course plenty of others exist.
Please respond and I'm sure others will 'chime in' w/ their opinions and advice - good luck!
