Photo location (places) disappearing

As anyone ever experienced the Places attribute disappearing? I have an iPad2 and can now only see Albums (not places). The only thing I remember doing that was different lately was to use USB for the first time to transfer a photo from the iPad2 to my windows PC. How do I regain the Places/location attributes for my Camera Roll photos?

This is too weird... I just downloaded Photo-Sort to work out some way of organizing my potos and all of a sudden, the places (location) showed up in Photos... Must be a bug somewhere... regardless, I can now see my photo location attributes.

It's another of those 'gremlins' - if it wasn't for those, I'd be out of a job....
