Browsing the web in Safari, I assume?

It varies with the website. Some block this ability, and some don't. If it is no longer working on a site where you are used to working, the site may have changed.

The same is true for apps. Some apps allow you to save displayed images, and some don't. If it's an app, then have they recently updated it?

Finally, give the below quick fixes a try, in case it's just a glitch.

-----------------------

The usual fixes:

When you have problems with an app it's a good idea to clear it from RAM.

Close/Clear the app: With the problem app closed, double tap on the Home button to get the multitask bar. Tap and hold on any icon in the bar until they jiggle, then tap the minus sign on the problem app. This will remove it from RAM and insure a clean start the next time you launch the app.

If that does not work try a restart,

Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends you restart the iPad at least once a month.

and then a reset if that does not work.

Reset: Hold down the power and home buttons until the Apple logo appears. The iPad will reboot. This usually takes a bit longer than a restart. takes a bit longer than a restart.

Reset All Settings: Another, somewhat more drastic, thing you can do is Reset All Settings. You'll find this under Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. It won't erase any of your content, apps, or accounts; but you will have to go through most of your other settings and re-tweak them back to your liking.

Hi I wanted to save some pictures on Facebook but can't anymore for some reason ?

This should work with most, but probably not all, photos.

In the FaceBook app.

Tap on the picture to open it full screen. Tap and hold in the center of the photo until you get the Save Photo option, then select it. Tap Done to go back to the newsfeed.

FaceBook in Safari is similar.

Tap the photo to go to the expanded/album view of the post. For some reason it seems to take two taps most of the time; spaced so they don't become a double tap. No idea why. Tap and hold in the center of the photo until the Save Image option appears, and select it. Use Safari's Back Arrow icon at the top left of the screen go back to your newsfeed.
