Pictures on camera

I have an original iPad without a built in camera. I don't know if the lack of camera makes a difference With the answer to my question.

I have my regular camera hooked up to my iPad. The pictures loaded automatically and are ready to impot. I really don't want to import all of them. The pictures are,of course, thumbnails.

How do I enlarge the thumbnails so that I can see the detail so I can decide which pictures to import?
