Pis**d off at Apple

Hi,
NEED HELP with ITunes. I know this may be out of the spectre of the Forum but it is about downloading into my iPad 2.
There is a TV show that will not download - Falling Skies. I have prepaid and get an email from Apple when it is available. I prepaid for 2 other shows that download perfectly.
All you need to do is click on the email phrase and it automatically downloads. However, for the last 2 episodes, it only downloads the "extra" clip of 2-3 minutes.
I have checked the store and it says "no available downloads".
This has happened in the past and I called iTunes and they walked me through 3-4 quick steps and it was fixed (different shows). I cannot remember them. Next time I will write them down.
Now THEY WANT $19 TO WALK ME THROUGH IT.
Needless to say, I am extremely angry about this charge. I think they are trying to gouge me when about a month ago, it was free. The cost is more than purchasing the series.
Can anyone offer suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Telephone technical support is only free for the first 90 days after the purchase of a new iPad or for 2 years if you purchased the AppleCare+ plan for your iPad when buying it.

Did you look in your iTunes purchased history to see if the series you bought is there? If so, you should be able to download it from there.

The 90 day thing is ridiculous. Most other manufacturers will assist you regardless of when you purchased the product. I can see only offering support for 1 year, and having to pay For AppleCare for 2 to 3 years of support. But to pay 19 dollars to talk to someone? Wow.

The simple answer is use iTunes email support as it is free or purchase Apple care for the iPad.

I can assure you most IT companies do have a time limit on phone support. Apple offers round the clock follow the sun phone support to any one whom is within the 90 day period or has purchased Apple care for that product. This means it does matter where you live or what time of day or night you call your call will be answered by a Apple support specialist. That person could be in England. Australia USA or any one of many countries pending on time of day or night. No IT company and I repeat offers that type of support with out charging for it or in most cases not offering support at all other than 9-5 weekdays only. In addition as part of Applecare Apple provides instant step by step training on any Apple apps you own. So if you ask for example how do I edit photos in iPhoto you will receive a step by step answer. The issue you have can be answered free of charge by going to iTunes email support. or if you want one can purchase Apple care with in one year of buying the iPad.
Hope this helps your issue.
