PLEASE HELP! MY IPAD IS "FROZEN"

Hi! I have a question about my iPAD. iT'S 2 YEARS OLD AND IT WORKED WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS UNTIL YESTERDAY. when i was using multtasking gesture to exit the screen suddenly froze. and what is strange i can see if i have WI-FI on and I can see clock - and battery percentage. but the rest of the screen doesn't respond. i tried to connect with itunes but i need to vertificate and i can't do that cause screen isn't working. Any suggestions about what is happening to it? i also uploaded a photo of current situation. tnx for your answers.

Hi, Zoë! Welcome to iPF!

First try to reset your iPad. This won't remove any data or settings. To do so, press and hold Home and Power button until the Apple logo appears, then release both and let the iPad power up on it's own.

Maybe restarting it will help: turn it off, then turn it on again.

If you can't restore it using iTunes, try recovery mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
