Powerpoint app for classroom?

Years ago, I saw a technology in the classroom demo and someone had an ipad-like device (this was pre-ipad days) that controlled PowerPoint presentations. The teacher could walk around the classroom with it - change slides, add text or arrows, etc. Has anyone heard of an app like this? Thanks.
