Print solution for Ipad

My mom has a brother laser printer, she got ride of her PC and got a new Ipad and Iphone with verizon.

The borther laser printer is USB, I have ordered up a raspberry pie 3 and planning on installing ubuntu, cups, samba, antivirus, and webmin for administration. The printer for the brother printer can be installed in the cups solution on ubuntu.

Looking for a printing app recommendation that would be able to access the printer server via static IP address on her home network.

On 8th October 2024, the Ubuntu Security Team released a security update that removed support for the CUPS legacy protocol from the cups-browsed component in all standard support releases. If the printer is AirPrint enabled you can print directly from the iPad or iPhone.

One would only need an Ip address to push the content to the raspberry pie, it would just have port 9100 open not sure that it would matter on what's listening to port 9100 .....
