Problem connecting to Wi-FI - password related

Hello. Noob here from Chicago area. Very thankful there are forums like this with smart people willing to share! Thanks!

Don't assume anything you could tell me is something I already know!

Just acquired a new (used) Ipad 2 from my new employer - no manual with it. I'm trying to get into the internet at home using my wireless Lynksys router. The Ipad finds the network ok, but asks for a password. My password keeps bouncing back as "incorrect". Are there any settings on the Ipad2 I need to change or set when using my Ipad2 for the first time with this wireless router?

My problem might be as simple as not remembering the correct password - (lost my notes). If that's the case I realize I have to recover it through the router, but it seems from memory I am using the correct password.

Am I missing something obvious?? I appreciate any help from you smart people!

Hi there Dean and welcome.

I can't imagine it being anything other than the wrong password but I could be wrong! There is no manual with an iPad but if you check my post out you will see details of where to get manuals from and in addition, if you check the bookmarks in Safari you should find a link to the online manual there.

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend.
