Problem forwarding attachments I. Gmail from iPad.

Hi. I am a new iPad user. I find whenever I forward mails in gmail, the attachment does not go through automatically as does from my laptop. Is this a settings issue or a iPad gmail compatibility issue? Looking forward to some help on this urgently. Thanks.

I use Gmail as my primary mail account on the iPad. Whenever I forward an e-mail, I get the option to "include" or "don't include" the attachments from the original message.

I think it's an iPad thing - to ask if you want to include attachments. Because the Mail app also asks if I want to include (or not) attachments when I also forward from my Roadrunner account.

Is your Mail account not behaving like that?

Just want to add - neither of my e-mail accounts are Exchange accounts (I don't like how they behave under Exchange). So, I created the Gmail account by selecting Gmail (in the Mail part of the Settings) and I selected Other for the Roadrunner account.

So, if you're running Gmail as Exchange, then it probably does differently than mine. In which case ... nevermind! :D

I run exchange setup and behave just like yours Marilyn.

Hi folks. Sorry for the long silence. I need to first understand the jargon you are using! None of it makes sense! I guess, a lot of reading is going to be required ...!!
