Problem using Handbrake

Downloaded Handbrake and despite a number of attempts to rip two DVD's to Itunes the results are unwatchable. Like hundreds of multi coloured blocks! I must be doing something wrong. Have ripped them in MP4 format to hard-drive then transferred them to Itunes. Have ticked the Ipad logo on Handbrake. I Have the Ipad 2. Any ideas pse?

Just buy azul media player and forget about wasting time converting stuff!
