Problem with itunes music randomly stopping playback

Some of my songs on my iPad 2 will randomly stop playing right in the middle of the playback. I can't fast forward and make the rest of the song play. Occasionally, it will even start playing another song entirely even though it hasn't indicated that it's gone to the next song in the list. Very strange.

Anyone else have this happen and know of a fix?

I haven't had this happen with my iPad, but it does occur randomly on my iPod Touch. I have no idea why, but I too would be really interested in a fix.
