Dear all, after upgrading to iOS 7 both my mail client (the default Apple one) and several other apps, including some games (for instance NBA 2k14), have no sounds. Any ideas what might be going on?
After updating your device, resetting ist is recommended: press and hold Home and Power button at the same time until the Apple logo appears. Then release both. The iPad should start on it's own.
If this doesn't bring back the sound, then check your settings:
In Settings - General - Use Side Switch to: what did you choose there? If it's set to Mute, take a look at your side switch (next to Volume button) and switch it a few times, maybe it will help.
Also look at Settings - Sounds. See if "Change with Buttons" is enabled.
Settings - Do Not Disturb: is it enabled?
Next place to check would be the Control Center, which you can access when sliding upwards from the bottom of the screen:
There are also a few things you could change to get back sounds on your device.
