Problems with account passwords

Hi
I'm having problems buying apps. When I try to do so it asks for my apple I.D -fair enough. However when I then enter it to buy an app up pops a request to "verify my bank account" by inputting another code. I've tried various things but cannot log in-anyone know what I have to do next?

The code they are looking for with that extra step is the code from the back of your credit card (the 3 or 4-digit number). So, if you scroll down the pop-up, you'll see the line for your code (it'll be blank ... it's under the credit card number). Enter the code and you're done.

This process will happen occasionally as Apple works to keep the buying process secure.
