Problems with ipad 2?

Has anyone else noticed any lint/dirt under the screen of their ipad? I just bought one and noticed a small amount of what appears to be lint under the screen/glass. Am I being picky or is this normal for Apple?

Can someone please advise so I know if I should take it back before it's too late. Or if this is normal so I know it's ok.

If it's enough to bother you, i would take it back. I don't think lint is an added feature.

It doesn't bother me if it's normal however, if the consensus says it's not normal and to return it then that’s what I'll do. I just don't want to be anal about it. $525.00 is a lot of money to me.

Several members have reported this. There seems to be a problem with the iPad2 screen being fixed properly to the casing in some models - resulting in the possibility of lint ingress. Apple have an 'ask no questions' policy, if you do want to change it.

I have iPad 1 and I have dirt under the screen. I seemed to show up about 3 months ago.

At the price point, I personally feel that ANY screen defect is reason enough to return it.

That said, I think apple is still ironing out a few manufacturing issues in the ipad 2. I have some significant light bleed around the edges of my screen and plan to get it swapped out once a couple more months have passed.

Hopefully by that time, the manufacturing issues and supply issues will be resolved.

Took it back today and got another one. New one is great.
