Hi all, I purchased 3 movies (not rentals). When I synced to my desktop they were not on the iTunes library or my iPad. It seems they just vanished without a trace. I don't want to lose them as they cost me £20.
iTunes saves everything you download to a folder on your hard drive. While in iTunes, go to edit, then preferences, then advanced. There in a box you will see where iTunes places all your files. Go to that folder and hopefully it will be there. If it's not there, you will have to find out from Apple how you can download them again without paying twice. I have not had that happen so I can't help you there. Are you still under the time period for free phone tech support? Did you purchase Apple Care? If yes to either, just give them a call and they should help you. I hope it all works out for you.
Movies are not free for a second download. Only apps and books are.
Contact Apple and explain. They will (usually) be happy to reset the download for you. Then you just go to the Store menu and choose Check for Available Downloads. Heck, try that now. You never know. It may work.
