Push notifs?

Are Apples push notifications pretty poor, or is it just me?

Email is great, I get regular notifications of them wherever and whenever, but things like app store updates, other app notes etc etc, I don't get any advance warnings or pushed notifications. Even though everything is turned on in the general settings.

Am I missing something?

There are no push notifiers for AppStore app updates.

If that is an issue, then yes the notifiers are poor.

iOS doesn't leave much room for tweaking, I am afraid.
