Dunno about console. I love Skyrim, well all Elder Scrolls games, Mirrors Edge, Dead Space, and Pokemon. Lol. Red Dead Redemption is awesome too.

XBox 360 Skyrim mostly nowadays and Red Dead is good indeed
A few xbla arcade on 360 like 3D pool and Pinball FX 2

I used to be a PC gamer in the years of Quake 2 and 3 and Unreal Tournament and Call of duty and most online first person shooters
For some reason I can't get the hang of playing first person shooters with a game pad....I find it clunky and not precise at all
That's why I can't play stuff like MW3 on the 360

I have an XBOX 360 that I never use. Also have a PS2, I liked the PS platform better. Honestly I miss my old original Nintendo and the Colecovision.

Gears 3 is a much faster game. Your character
covers a lot more ground. Weapon response is cleaner too.

The most important offensive changes are the addition of a 4 round sawed off shotgun and a power weapon called "The Digger." The explosive projectile can travel underground and surfaces when it enters a player's shot box. It can also travel under cover to surface on the other side. I don't like the sawed off. It requires no skill. It's mostly an ambush weapon.

The most exciting defensive change is cover. Unlike Gears 2, a number of physical features
can be destroyed by enemy fire so not every piece of cover is usable. The Tac Com is better
too.

You mentioned you like playing Horde. I think you would really enjoy "Beast Mode" in Gears 3.
