Hi, y'all. Thanks for running this forum. I just got an iPad as a gift, and now I'm trying to figure out how best to use it. I already have an iMac in my office, and a MacBook Pro at home.
For starters, I'd at least like to have the new iPad replace my old PDA. I haven't found a productivity app that does all this:
1. Can be used offline.
2. Syncs easily with my other Macs.
3. Can encode notes with sensitive information, or password protect them.
4. Doesn't have to be free, but doesn't incur regular monthly or annual costs.
5. Should integrate with an address/phone list.
Can you recommend an app that does all this? Evernote (free) bombs on #1, and Evernote (Premium) crashes on #4.
Another question: What's a recommended set of earphones so I can listen to spoken words or music without disturbing people around me?
And yet another: Can Skype be used to call a land line or a cell phone from the iPad? Can Google Voice be used?
Thanks!
