Old some one help me with the multiple web page icon that is located in the top left hand corner in Safari, the one you use to open all the web pages you have open , I think you can have 9 to a page, it has disappeared and I can't get it back?

Just checking it in my Safari and cannot find such icon - could you post a screenshot??

Hi I don't know how to do this, I am not very computer savvy , I just read that on another post that on the new version of Safari the icon disappeared ?, you know how when you open it up and you can see all the pages you have open, I think you can have 9 to a page?

I think you're talking about the way Safari used to be, back before iOS 5.0 came out. You used to be able to look at Safari pages as if you were looking at little cards on a table. This view was accessible via that icon you talk about.

Now, with iOS 5, Apple has changed it so that Safari uses tabs. No more can you view that layout you saw before.

Hope this clears things up.

Thanks for that Marllyn, that what what it was, I just rang my girlfriend and she said that she has downloaded all latest versions and that she can still see it that way?
I thought it was a much easier way to see what you had open

Unfortunately, no. Apple has decided they want tabs and so Safari now has them from iOS 5 and on. They're going along with the crowd that has demanded tabs from day 1. The ones who didn't/don't want tabs ... *shrugs* ... guess they just have to join the crowd.
