Unfortunately, I removed a contact from iPhone and in the process it removed all of the iMessage history including an important note sent to me will legal implications. I tried to download the software to recover, but it didn't work for my Ipad, the iPhone was purchased days after the important message. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Unless you have a backup of your iPad which contains the missing messages, I'm afraid that your messages are gone forever and can't be recovered.
