removing info from Ipad

How do I remove my info from Ipad? I want to give it to my Grandaughter.

Open the settings app, go into general, scroll all the way down to reset, click "erase all content and settings". You will have to enter the iPad's passcode and your Apple ID password, and then the iPad will reset to factory settings.

In addition to the advice already given, check out this Apple Support Article - you need to sign out of your iCloud account and the features there, such as 'Find my iPad' before doing the erasure of the device. Dave

In addition to the good advice already given I'd like to add a bit of information. The data on the iPad is encrypted and the encryption cannot be turned off. Using the Erase All Content And Settings feature destroys the encryption keys, so any data left behind is unreadable without those keys.
