Reset Reminders to Original default and restore from Icloud Backup

I did three resets to default and three restores from different backups in Icloud. The backups I restored ranged from this week to last month. In each of the restores my Calendar and Reminder data was not restored from the Icloud backup but remained the same as before each reset. Reminders were also not restored. I have all the options selected for both Calendar and Reminders in Settings to be included in the backups. Where is the backup of Calendars and Reminders stored? And how do I restore Calendars and Reminders from the backup?
All other data was successfully restored per the backup date selected.
