resizing email photos ?!#@&

My wife has an iPad Air (iOS7).
I got me an iPad mini with the Retina-thing (iOS7).
When she sends a photo via email, she has an opportunity to resize it.
(There's an Images button.)
When I send a photo via email I do NOT get that Images button.
Hey Apple!! That ain't fair!
Can anybody explain this?

You should be able to resize them as well. I have an iPad mini without retina, and I can do it. Try to send a photo using the Photo app:

And then with the Mail app.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I tried copy&paste (to an email) and using the photo app ... no luck.
Now I find that size matters!!
For smallish photos I get no Images button.
BUT, for larger photos ... guess what??
Now I'm a happy fella.

Yep. The Mail app only offers the image size option if your photo(s) go over a certain size. I think it's 500KB, but I'm not sure.
