Resizing photos

When I take a screenshot of a photo it seems to be larger then 5 mb. I resisted one but the resized only tells how many pixels ther are and the length and width. How can I decrese the screenshot size to less then 5 mb.

When I want to resize an image, I use an app called Photogene.

This is the information from the original screenshot:

Export allows to resize the picture:

And save it to a different app.
